Scheming Spider: Chihso

Wow. First off it feels incredibly good to have this picture finished. It was around the month of May or so that, after 3 radically different attempts (one of which I think was destroyed) that I finally managed to do a pencil drawing of this character that I felt really captured the personality that Sosiqui had placed in her little Oculai. The time between then and now has just been filled with all sorts of setbacks and hurdles. The last two weeks saw the most progress on this piece, leading up to yesterday when I sat at my computer and refused to leave until it was finished.

I always enjoy doing adult Oculai forms. They are a reward to their players for their efforts in roleplaying and provide a great opprotunity for me to stretch my abilities in design and technique. Full view recommended, as this one has sublte details.

I listened to a lot of music while working on this piece, but I feel a particular shout out has to be given to Overclocked Remixes. Anybody who is a fan of soundtracks, specifically videogame soundtracks, owes it to themselves to visit this site and sample some of the works.
